Freedom Is Calling

“So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. I'm speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.” Romans 12:1-3 (Message)

I awoke this morning to be thinking about the renewing of my mind how that is so needed. How that today I choose to be not conformed to this world but transformed fresh, newly, as though yesterday did not happen and as though tomorrow is what it is not promised.

Last night I spent a couple of hours with friends in a worship / praise set led by Matt Jackson. For those reading this that do not know Matt is the Worship Leader for Fullness Christian Fellowship were I attend church. Some things were happening last night that in that setting where Truth was declared in song, Light was released by the New Sound, Worship in Spirit and Truth occurred, and High Praise was offered could only be labeled as miraculous. So you the reader and I are on the same page I offer the following to convey to you what I mean by “miraculous”: regarded as caused by supernatural intervention: apparently contrary to the laws of nature and caused by a supernatural power. There was an intervention taking place over this region. At one point the Lord gave me this vision. Within the open portal of light that was over the physical location where we were gathered I saw descending from Heaven a small company of Angels. These were like shafts of light I saw that this was their battle armor they were released to war. They moved in battle formation in cadence with the song that was being released. This small company moved out from the portal of light into the streets of our community and soon encountered their target … the purpose of their release … and engaged in war a full legion of demons … the fight was swift, precise, and done with amazing tactics! Right before my eyes a legion of demons were slain! No prisoners taken and not one escaped! I came back to the room where the song was ending and sensed such victory and freedom and realized we were singing “ freedom is falling, freedom is falling, freedom is falling all around” “shout, shout, shout, for joy” “sing, sing, oh my soul let the healing flow, freedom I have found”!

I realized what I had just experienced was an aspect of worship and praise that is so powerful it releases Angels to fight and bring freedom. Father of Light released a provision of Heaven for us in this city last night. I am waiting and I am expectant to see the fruit of the miracles of last night and the freedom found because of that legion of demons with the bondage, sickness, and misery they were inflicting now no longer exist. Victory won. Territory taken and we are set as watchmen on the wall.

I am writing this because it will take a renewing of our minds and a determination to not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds … so I will close with where I started:

“So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Let us not conform but be transformed lived with renewed minds ... let the Jesus be lifted high!
